Maya Kiehl

About

Prior to joining the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Rensselaer as a Lecturer, Dr. Kiehl held a teaching appointment at West Point. Her interests in math education include math retention, transfer of knowledge from math to science/engineering courses and STEM persistence. Dr. Kiehl's research has primarily been focused on the science and engineering Calculus sequence at Rensselaer.  Most recently she has involved in improving educational outcomes for first-year students and providing leadership training to upperclass student through the  I-PERSIST Mentor Program.
