Dr. Nabeel Amjad is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, in 2011.

Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Nabeel gained extensive aerospace industry experience. He worked for approximately two years as a Maintenance Engineer Supervisor on F-16 Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 engines, and for an additional three years in aircraft structural repair and maintenance. This industry background provided him with strong practical expertise in aircraft propulsion systems and structural integrity.

Motivated to pursue academic and research goals, he returned to NUST and completed his Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2018. He subsequently joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to pursue doctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering. During this period, he also earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from RPI in 2021 and completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2025, with a research focus on computational mechanics.

After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Nabeel joined the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering at RPI as a Lecturer, where he teaches and continues research in computational and solid mechanics.
