Tong Zhang

Associate Professor, Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering

Tong Zhang is currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Xian Jiaotong University, China, in 1995 and 1998, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 2002. He joined the faculty of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2002. His current research areas are integrated circuits and systems for data storage, signal processing and computing. He is a member of IEEE Signal Processing Society Technical Committee on Design and Implementation of Signal Processing Systems, IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Technical Committee on VLSI Systems and Applications, and IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Technical Committee on Circuits and Systems for Communications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II, and the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing.
