Research

I am interested in the design and analysis of innovative algorithms that solve foundational computational problems in applied mathematics. I particularly enjoy working on high-dimensional and infinite-dimensional problems where ideas from analysis, probability theory, and approximation theory combine in unexpected ways to create new tools for computational scientists.

Recently, I have worked on algorithms for

  • data-driven modeling and analysis
  • computational spectral theory
  • randomized numerical linear algebra
