Thomas C Sharkey

Professor, Industrial and Systems Engineering

Thomas Sharkey received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida in August 2008, where he was supported by a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. His current research focuses on providing optimal and near-optimal solutions to new dynamic network optimization problems. He received an NSF CAREER award in 2012 to study new scheduling models for supply chain and restoration, construction, and redesign. In addition, he is also examining how the restoration efforts of interdependent infrastructures are linked after extreme events.
