Dr. Yury Yatsynovich joined the faculty of Rensselaer in 2015. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 2015, his MA in Economics in 2009 from jointly Kyiv School of Economics (Ukraine) and The University of Houston in Texas, and his BA in 2006 from Belarusian State University in his native Belarus. Yury's fields of interest include International Trade and Macroeconomics. Currently his research considers relations between countries' specialization and innovations, impacts of technological changes on characteristics of business cycles, and questions of optimal industrial policy.
