As a career professional with over a decade of Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing experience, I have a proven track record in providing the highest level of quality consulting and financial services to both public and private companies throughout various industries. In addition to my solid knowledge of US Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Financial Accounting principles and practices, I bring an understanding of US federal and state taxation. I also have a strong educational background, having two master's degrees in Accounting and Taxation, as well as a Doctorate in Business Administration in Advanced Accounting.

I am the owner and managing director of Sumadi Empowerment LLC which was initially created to follow one's dream to establish a company in the field of Accounting and Finance that best utilizes one's experience and educational background. Its main goal is to strive to invest and grow one's wealth and knowledge in various areas of Accounting and Finance and provide clients with recommendations and consultations in those areas. I combine this with my dedication and passion for helping clients meet their personal financial growth.

My main passion is teaching students at a university level. I am a part time lecturer at RPI and an adjunct professor at University at Albany. My main focus is teaching courses that deal with financial statement preparation, analysis, trading, investments, and valuation. Research

During my over a decade of professional experience in various accounting positions, I worked on different challenging assignments and projects ranging from preparing simple tax returns to solving complex business tax problems. However, knowledge is far more valuable when shared with others. Therefore, I continuously explored teaching opportunities, including giving training at work by presenting technical accounting and taxation knowledge. I also attended different formal training sessions to learn presentation skills and discuss leaders as coaches.

I am passionate about teaching and researching and interested in working in academia. That's why I decided to pursue my Doctorate after spending more than a decade working at professional accounting and financial firms. I teach MBA, graduate, and undergraduate courses in Accounting for Reporting and Control, Financial Accounting in the Digital Age, and Federal Estate and Gift Taxation at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany.

Furthermore, I have developed the commitment and discipline from attaining my Doctorate of Business Administration degree in Advanced Accounting. Coming from an industrial background helped me bring practical, real-life examples into explaining and understanding accounting topics while expanding my research into current issues.

I am very persistent and dedicated, reflected in my solid academic performance during my master's and doctorate studies. I continuously showed a growth mindset with curiosity to learn new topics and to quickly implement them in my research. My dissertation was about the security challenges of big data in blockchain emergence in Jordanian financial service firms. While my research focused on addressing challenges in one area and for a specific country, it established a baseline that can be extended to address other challenges of blockchain adoption in Jordan and other developing countries.

Finally, I am a lifelong learner; I am committed and engaged in continuing my education, improving my skills, and enhancing my knowledge. I enjoy getting involved in activities or crafts that would better improve my cognitive abilities. Recently, I started thinking more about expanding my research to expand my study sample to include other countries, not just Jordanian financial service firms.

My diverse academic background and professional experience will add value to students and researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, especially in practical aspects of Accounting and Taxation. I believe that I can be a strong candidate to be a researcher and teacher. I can also share my knowledge of the practical aspects of accounting and taxation positions and help better align my research and interests with market needs.
