Associate Professor, Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering
Meng Wang has been with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) as an assistant professor since Dec. 2012. Prior to joining RPI, she was a postdoc research scholar at Duke University. She obtained her Ph.D. in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University in August 2012. She received the B.E. degree (with honors) and the M.S. degree (with honors) in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
Her research areas involve machine learning and data analytics, power system monitoring, signal processing, and optimization methods. She is a recipient of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award and the Army Research Office (ARO) YIP Award. At Rensselaer, she received School of Engineering Research Excellence Award.
